Esteemed Performer Pat Finn, Recognized For Appearances in Seinfeld and The Middle, Dies at the Age of Sixty.

Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who appeared in iconic television series such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died at the age of 60.

The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in Los Angeles, California on Monday after undergoing cancer treatment since 2022, per media reports.

"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - only friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones stated in a announcement.

They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.

He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He starred as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, portraying a host famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.

During the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of popular shows, like:

• "King of Queens"
• Friends
• That '70s Show
• "House"

His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight seasons of the show between 2011 and 2018.

His work in movies are It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

Beyond his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was involved with a comedy group of six called Beer Shark Mice.

"He taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils over the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," he shared on social media.

The actor is survived by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his parents and siblings.
