Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
